There’s something incredibly seductive about building or adopting a Swiss Army Knife testing framework. The idea of having everything in one place – API, UI, DB, performance, and reporting – is pure efficiency porn.

We, QAs, are dreamers. We want one tool that can:
- Talk to REST APIs,
- Click around in a browser like a caffeinated monkey,
- Assert things in the DB,
- Benchmark endpoints like a sadistic locust.

What starts as a slick multi-tool can morph into a spaghetti monster with implicit dependencies, broken abstraction layers, and fragile configs.
